Treasure Valley attractions will be on display in an NBC reality show that may air this fall, according to one of the producers of "The Baby Borrowers."

The teenagers who are featured in the show — which aims to teach young couples about the difficulties of parenthood — go to work at Valley businesses and visit area attractions, said Richard McKerrow, a Brit who was in Boise last week.

McKerrow was the creator of the original BBC show and is executive producer on the American show.

"The UK's teen pregnancy rates are seven times higher than the rest of Europe," he explained about the origin of the idea for the reality TV show.

BBC Learning has turned that show into educational DVDs used in schools.

Filming for the American version of the show, which concluded last week, was based in an Eagle cul-de-sac and included footage from the Boise area. Teen couples featured in the show take the Boise trolley tour and go rafting.

"We wanted to get an all-American place," McKerrow said. "We also looked at Nevada."
